Berritto Family Office History
The Berritto Family Office traces its origins back to 1960, when Salson Logistics was founded as a local trucking company.
Under the leadership of the second generation in 1983, the company transformed into a national logistics service provider. By 2013, the third generation joined the business, propelling Salson Logistics to further success.
Through its growth, the family accumulated over $100 million in real estate assets, spanning five states.
In 2022, the Berritto family sold Salson Logistics and established the Berritto Family Office, retaining its extensive real estate portfolio.

Parking Solutions for the Trucking Community
Port Newark Depot (PND) helps large-volume importers, Steamship Lines, and Container Leasing Companies avoid demurrage charges and lengthy turn times at the Port of NY/NJ by storing containers at its 85-acre yard. Unlike other area depots or container yards, Port Newark Depot has the available space to store all of your containers, and can also perform on-site container maintenance and repair, drayage and transloading services.
- Faster turn times. Easy in/out access for drayage providers with 5 container loaders onsite to speed operations.
- One-stop for container storage, maintenance and repair. A 2-bay mechanic shop, reefer plugs, and 3 IICL-ILA-certified mechanics.
- Flexible hours. Hours can be extended based on volume to serve trucker and shipper needs.
- No TWIC card required for drivers. We can pull containers from the Port and prepare them in our yard for pickup.
- Trucking capabilities. Our trucking partners have over 300 trucks and 1,500 chassis for drayage.
- Warehousing and distribution capabilities. Our logistics partners can handle transloading, bulk storage and final-mile delivery.
